Arne Slot has reportedly stated that his Liverpool side are not yet thinking about the Premier League title amid going 13 points clear at the top of the standings.
Arsenal and Nottingham Forest battled to a goalless draw on Wednesday night, while the Reds defeated Newcastle 2-0 at Anfield thanks to a strong performance.
The Mikel Merino striker experiment seemed to be a failure from the beginning, as the Gunners drew blanks in front of goal for the second straight game.
Although the match between the two teams in second and third place was pretty uninteresting, Riccardo Calafiori had the game’s finest chance when he struck the post.

Though Liverpool dropped two points at the City Ground, Arsenal needed a win there to keep up with the leaders. Slot’s team faced Newcastle, but it was made much simpler when it was revealed that Alexander Isak would not play due to a slight groin injury.
According to Football London, Slot acknowledged that even if Liverpool gained three more points in a dominant manner, a lot might still change now that their attention is elsewhere.
“There is still a long way to go, 10 games and in March I think we only play once in the Premier League,” he told TNT Sports.
“We have the [Carabao Cup] final of course, the international break and two very important games against Paris Saint-Germain. So we’re not focused on the long-term.”
Liverpool’s next match will be against PSG in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
