Talks were expected to take place recently but the Reds face competition from Man City to land the player.
According to the reputable German newspaper BILD, the Bavarian giants have grown tired of Kimmich’s decision-making delays and cannot understand why the player would not simply sign a deal with better terms.
In fact, this implies that, as of now, unless Bayern makes any more moves, Kimmich can begin serious talks with other teams.

TeamTalk notes that Barcelona and Real Madrid will also be involved, and all interested parties should be aware that Kimmich’s new contract with Bayern is worth around £320k per week.

Whilst that’s at the upper end of weekly salary for Liverpool – their current highest earner, Mo Salah, is on £350k per week (Capology) – with Virgil van Dijk (£220k) and others are well below that, given that there’s no transfer fee involved means Kimmich does become a genuine option for the Reds.
