Barcelona are making a lot of effort to bolster their youth ranks in order to guarantee that the first team squad will always have a wealth of potential from La Masia.

Fofana, 17, progressed through La Masia’s divisions before leaving the team to join Cornella, where he has since continued to grow.
Before moving to Cornella, the Malian forward established himself in Barca’s development system, performing well and scoring goals at the Pre-Benjamín and Benjamín levels.
Fofana has scored seven goals for Cornella’s Juvenil A team this season. He also made his first-team debut for the team, playing against Cerdanyola del Valles in a Copa Catalunya encounter before making another appearance in the RFEF Segunda Division.
Fofana has continued to be a target for Barcelona since he is a swift, physically strong attacker with excellent finishing skills.
The teenager is expected to play in the Juvenile A next season after the Spanish giants decide that the moment is perfect for him to return to the academy system after his progress met expectations.
