In response to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s claim that certain Manchester United players receive excessive compensation, Bruno Fernandes told the British billionaire that “the club agrees to do the contracts.”
Throughout a series of interviews this week, Ratcliffe complimented Fernandes, calling the United captain a “fabulous footballer.”
Other members of the team, however, were labeled as “overpaid” and “not good enough.”
According to ESPN, Fernandes defended his teammates on Thursday after scoring a hat trick to help the team defeat Real Sociedad 5-2 on aggregate in the Europa League.

“It’s not nice to hear certain things obviously,” Fernandes said.
“I don’t think that any player likes to hear criticism or things that are talked about to you, that you’re not good enough or you’re overpaid or whatever.
