The 37-year-old missed the March international break owing to a muscular ailment, but Argentina defeated Uruguay 1-0 and then demolished arch-rivals Brazil 4-1 on Tuesday.
Scaloni told reporters after his team defeated the Selecao, “We’re taking it game by game. I don’t want to deal with that issue all year. We must leave him alone and let him decide. He’ll make a decision, so don’t drive him crazy.”

Messi has been hampered by many injuries in recent years, and with just over a year until the showcase event begins in North America, questions have been raised over the Barcelona legend’s participation.
