Ferran Torres is quietly establishing himself at Barcelona under Hansi Flick despite often starting games from the bench.
The forward, who doesn’t particularly like the word “substitute,” is putting up a strong argument for increased playing time by scoring goals at an impressive rate.
Torres quickly demonstrated his predatory instincts during the most recent match against Osasuna. It only took him ten minutes to score after getting a rare start.
According to Barca Universal, with 14 goals, including 8 in La Liga in 21 games, 4 in the Copa del Rey from just 3 appearances, and 2 in the Champions League from 7 games, he has already eclipsed his previous best total of 13 goals.

This is the total he earned while playing for Manchester City in 2020–2021.
Torres scored 11 goals for Barcelona last season, which is a respectable total but falls short of his finest Premier League years. But now he seems to be functioning on a completely different plane.
His scoring rate has been continually remarkable with a goal coming around every 87 minutes.
Against Osasuna, that rate improved even further, reducing to 85 minutes per goal after he was replaced in the 67th minute.
With 14 goals to his name and counting, Torres is in the finest form of his career, and if Barcelona continue to fight on numerous fronts, Flick may well find himself depending more and more on the ‘shark’ to make an impact when it matters most.
