Premier League Star Issues Come And Get Me Plea To Arsenal, Liverpool

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward, Matheus Cunha has indicated his interest to leave the club and move to a side that challenge for trophies.

With goals in six of the team’s seven wins this season, the Brazilian forward has gained enormous popularity at Molineux and played a crucial role in the Old Gold’s ascent out of the Premier League relegation zone. However, all good things come to an end, and it’s evident that Cunha is a step above where Wolves are currently present.

The 25-year-old has predictably attracted the attention of Liverpool, Arsenal and some top clubs across Europe after having his best season to date, scoring 15 goals and dishing out four assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

The only reason he didn’t leave in January, it turns out, was because he didn’t want to leave Wolves in the dark. This has subsequently led to a lot of transfer rumors.

In an interview with The Guardian, Cunha has revealed he’s now comfortable thinking ahead to his next transfer with Wolves nine points clear of the bottom three.

“Now, we’re close to achieving our goal [of staying up]. But I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step. I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential,” Cunha said.

At the beginning of the year, Wanderers had only won two of their first 16 Premier League games under Gary O’Neil, making relegation a genuine possibility.

With five more wins in the 13 games subsequently, Vitor Pereira and Cunha have both contributed to the turnaround.
