Juventus, Inter Open Talks To Sign Soon-To-Be Free Agent As Barcelona Cool Interest

Juventus and Inter Milan are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Jonathan David as a free agent.

According to SPORT, it has become apparent that the Canada international’s ambition of donning Barcelona shirt may be fading as he is now in advanced talks with Juve and Inter.

David has been looking for other options because the Blaugrana have been reluctant to make a firm move, despite his public statements that he wants to play for the team.

The report further adds that the Canadian has been patiently waiting for the Catalan giants to approach him. But since he hasn’t heard anything substantial, he has moved on to other suitors.

As a result, Barcelona doesn’t seem to be able or willing to satisfy his financial demands, but the Nerazzurri and the Old Lady are.

This is due to the projected €60 million needed to obtain David’s services, which includes a four-year contract, commissions, and a signing bonus.

Such a commitment appears unattainable for a team with financial challenges, particularly for a player they do not believe is a perfect fit for their sporting goals.

English side, West Ham had made an earlier attempt to entice David with an appealing offer, but the striker is adamant on joining a team that plays in European competitions.
