Garnacho Criticized For What He Did In Man United Loss To Nottingham Forest

Rangers legend, Ally McCoist has reportedly lambasted Alejandro Garnacho for one finer detail during Manchester United’s defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Anthony Elanga’s goal in the fifth minute proved crucial as the Premier League’s over-achievers defeated Manchester United 1-0 at The City Ground. At full time, Garnacho, who received a rating of four from MEN Sport, looked irritated as Forest’s defense outthought and outwitted him.

Garnacho struggled against Neco Williams, making six attempts on goal but failing to hit any of them on target.

In addition to recording 24 shots, which is their highest total in a Premier League game this season, Ruben Amorim thought it was a shame that his team did not leave Nottinghamshire with at least a point.

According to Manchester Evening News, McCoist, who was providing commentary for TNT Sports, was primed to criticize the young Argentine live on air after feeling wronged by Garnacho for a single instance.

He said: “He can’t lose it inside there Garnacho, he cannot lose it inside.

“It’s either got to go long, or it’s got to go over the full-back, it’s got to go wide. As it happens it was not the best of finishes from Morgan Gibbs-White, but Garnacho can’t lose it inside there.”

After only a few minutes, Garnacho also made a bad sliding tackle on Elanga, who raced through to score the only goal of the game.

In recent weeks, the 20-year-old has performed admirably for Amorim’s side, most notably scoring in the team’s 3-0 victory over Leicester City prior to the March international break.
