According to Football Transfer sports Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres’ agent is likely to meet with Arsenal’s new sports director, Andrea Berta, on Tuesday to explore his client’s probable transfer to the Premier League club. After a fantastic season in Portugal, the 26-year-old is largely believed to be on the move this summer.
Sporting Lisbon’s asking price for Gyokeres is reportedly £63 million, and while Manchester United has been heavily linked with his signing in recent months, it remains to be seen whether the Swedish international is still their top priority given recent progress in the club’s pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Viktor Gyokeres for £63 million would be an ideal signing for Arsenal. Aside from scoring 43 goals this season, the striker has also assisted 11 times across all competitions, demonstrating the creative side of his game. Mikel Arteta would welcome a player who thrives in the creative sector as well as it will help him get the best out of the wingers too.
Arsenal would also find solace in the knowledge that Gyokeres has a good amount of experience under his belt, while his prime years are yet to come as well. Furthermore, having played in England, although in the Championship, the player will know what to anticipate while playing for Arsenal.
