Ancelotti Already Preparing For Future Matches With Injured Star In The Mix

According to MARCA, Dani Ceballos is on pace to make a prompt comeback from injury, and his recovery has been nothing short of remarkable.

The midfielder, who was previously declared out for a long length of time, is now in contention for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal and might possibly play in the Copa del Rey final versus Barcelona.

Ceballos suffered a muscle injury on February 27 that affected his tendon. At the time, it was assumed that he would miss all of the key fixtures in the spring.

That meant missing the Champions League round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid, the quarterfinal stage if Madrid advanced, and the Copa del Rey semi-final and potential final.

Early forecasts indicated that he would not be fully fit until May.

Ceballos has proven everyone wrong.

However, Ceballos remained determined from the start. He promised a faster return and stuck to a strict and careful recovery plan.

His hard work is finally beginning to bear fruit. After weeks of intensive rehabilitation and cautious training, the midfielder has returned to the group dynamic.

He was already back in training last Friday and continues to take steps forward without rushing or risking a setback. The target date for his full return has been set for 16 April.

While he will actually miss the first-leg of UCL quarter-final against Arsenal, his comeback could not be timed better. Ceballos has already made 30 appearances this season before his injury.

In reality, 2025 was shaping up to be his breakthrough year at Real Madrid, and now he has the opportunity to continue where he left off.

His absence has been felt strongly in recent games, particularly those in which Madrid struggled to retain control in midfield.

With crucial championships on the line, Carlo Ancelotti views Ceballos as a viable option again—a player who can provide balance, composure, and energy when it is most needed.
