The contracts of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and the Netherlands international all expire at the end of the current campaign.

In March, when asked about his future, Van Dijk said that he had “no idea” if he would be staying at Anfield after the current season.

But after Liverpool’s 3-2 Premier League loss to Fulham on Sunday, Van Dijk gave reporters a more upbeat assessment of his future with the Reds.

“There is progress, yeah,” the 33-year-old remarked. “We’ll see. I’m not sure if I’ll stay. Listen, we’ll see.

These are internal conversations.I adore the team and the supporters, and we wanted to thank them for supporting us once more.

“But I want them to be there on Sunday again [at home to West Ham United] and make the stadium an amazing venue like always for us.”

In 2018, Van Dijk moved from Southampton to Liverpool for £75 million, and he has since established himself as one of the best center backs in Premier League history, reports TNT Sports.

He has, in fact, scored 26 goals in 313 Reds games throughout that span and played a key role in the team’s triumph in the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup.
