Gareth Bale recently proposed to his girlfriend – and it’s fair to say the Welshman pushed the boat out.
The Real Madrid winger whisked his other half off to the island off Tagomago just off the coast of Spanish party resort Ibiza, report Wales Online.
Bale reportedly paid almost £100,000 to hire the private resort where he proposed to his high school sweetheart, Emma Rhys Jones.
According to a report on telegraph.co.uk, the Wales hero took close friends and family along with him for what would prove to be an unforgettable trip last month.
A 98-acre luxury getaway was the group’s base as Bale, as well as popping the question, also took the opportunity to celebrate his 27th birthday.
The Tagomago resort, less than a mile off the north east coast of Ibiza, offers five luxury double suites, a helipad, private mooring for a boat, an outdoor jacuzzi, large terraces with sea views and is also fully staffed.

The cost includes two chefs offering round-the-clock service, a personal butler, two maids, a boat captain, a gardener and a mechanic.
Bale’s team mate Cristiano Ronaldo and former Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood are among the stars to have used Tagomago in the past.
Online holiday site myprivatevilla.com quotes July prices of 120,000 Euros per week.
The holiday capped off a wonderful summer for Bale who was a Champions League winner for the second time with Real Madrid and a talisman for Wales in their surge to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
