AFCON 2021: ‘Sweetest Times To Be A Nigerian Is When Super Eagles Play Well’  —Alaba

The sister of Real Madrid star David Alaba, Rose May Alaba, has congratulated the Super Eagles following their 3-1 win against Sudan on Saturday at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

The Eagles made it two wins after two group games and qualified for the round of 16.

Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Moses Simon were on target, as the three-time African champions recorded their first win against Sudan at AFCON since the 1976 edition.

With the win against the 1970 AFCON winners, the Austine Eguavoen-led side will now face Guinea-Bissau in a formality game.

And reacting to the impressive win, Alaba, who posted a picture of herself watching the game on Saturday, wrote:”One of the sweetest times to be Nigerian is when watching the Super Eagles play well🥳🎉“

Meanwhile, Egypt recorded their first win of the tournament following a hard fought 1-0 win against Guinea-Bissau on Saturday.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah got the decisive goal with a superb strike.
