The agent of Fiorentina midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat has confirmed clubs want to sign the midfielder with Manchester United and Liverpool in the race for his signature.
Mahmoud El Boustati asserted that the 26-year-old must now “make the right choice” for his prospective club. A number of clubs are keeping an eye on the current situation of the Moroccan international, who appears destined to leave Italy’s Serie A side this summer.
The talks are being led by Erik ten Hag, who used to coach the player at FC Utrecht. And United’s pursuit appears to be the most advanced. This is in spite of earlier this year’s rumors that claimed Jurgen Klopp met with the player’s agent.
This week, Amrabat returned to the club’s training grounds. Although it’s said that he is eager for a move out of Fiorentina. The club informed the midfielder during the January transfer window that they would permit his summer departure if he stayed until the end of the season.
Speaking to Voetbal Primeur as reported by Mirror Football, El Boustati has explained: “Quite a few clubs are interested in Sofyan. It is now a matter of making the right choice. He is still just a Fiorentina player and he reported to Fiorentina on Monday.”

El Boustati continued: “If something interesting comes up, Sofyan is open to the step, Fiorentina are too. There are two, three clubs that he is open to.”
He responded when asked if the transfer would take place this summer: “We are assuming that. There is interest from Saudi Arabia. But there is no concrete offer or concrete interest.”
