Al-Nassr Considering A Move For £86 Million Flop; Manchester United Open To Offers

According to Football Insider, Antony has surfaced as a target for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr as they look for a new winger this summer.

According to the story, they made an initial offer but were more interested in Barcelona’s Raphinha.

Al-Nassri’s focus has apparently shifted to Antony, who played alongside Cristiano Ronaldo for the Reds in the first half of the 2022/23 season.

While Ronaldo’s second term at United ended in a nightmare, Antony has also had a difficult time at Old Trafford, with many detractors labelling him a ‘failure’.

According to The Athletic, Antony’s signing from Ajax cost United a record £86 million.

Antony has made 82 appearances for United, scoring 16 goals, and it is unclear whether he will be a starter in the following season.

According to Football Insider, United are willing to let Antony depart on loan, as long as his £100,000-per-week wages are met.

The Brazil international has three years remaining on his deal.

Will Antony and Ronaldo be teammates again at Al-Nassr?

The Reds hoped that one of the Saudi Pro League clubs would approach them about signing another Brazilian, who is expected to stay at Old Trafford for at least another season.

Casemiro, 32, was one of several United players who underperformed last season.

It appears that his legs are gone, but United has been unable to find a buyer for the veteran midfielder.

United must find an upgrade in the transfer market to defend their back four next season.
