Alexis Sanchez would be “welcome” at Paris Saint-Germain should the Arsenal star decide to join the French club this summer, striker Edinson Cavani has said.
According to reports, Arsenal have proposed to pay Sanchez, 28, a new contract worth £300,000-a-week, with manager Arsene Wenger recently revealing his confidence that the Chile star will put pen to paper on a new deal.
It is believed that PSG, as well as a host of other European sides such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Juventus, are monitoring Sanchez’s situation at Arsenal as the forward has just two years left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Cavani has been at PSG since sealing a £55million move from Italian club Napoli in 2013.
And the Uruguayan has now said Sanchez would be welcome at the Ligue 1 giants alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should they enter into the market for the pair this summer.
When asked about Sanchez and Aubameyang, Cavani told Canal Football Club: “If they come, they are welcome.
“We always hope that new players complete the team with their qualities.
“As for what the club is missing, I will never tell you.
“For me, my team-mates are the best.”
