Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been named the club’s Player of the Month for December, after claiming an astonishing 80.4% of the votes.
The 28-year-old, who has dominated the headlines recently in regards to his future, was in scintillating form during last month for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Arsenal may have lost two of their five league games, but the Chile international netted four goals in those five top-flight matches.
That included a mouthwatering hat-trick for Wenger’s men in the 5-1 demolition of West Ham at the London Stadium in Arsenal’s opening game of December.
The club confirmed on their official website today that Sanchez had claimed a magnificent 80.4% of the votes, with Mesut Ozil in second place after 7.1% of the votes.
Meanwhile, young talent Alex Iwobi wrapped up the top three after receiving 6.5% of the votes, with the other 6% being spread out to other players across the squad.
