Amorim Advised To ‘Get Rid’ Of Several Man United Stars After Dismal Wolves Loss

Alan Shearer has claimed that Ruben Amorim should be given the freedom to overhaul the current Manchester United squad following their disappointing 2-0 defeat to Wolves.

After captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off early in the second half, the Red Devils hobbled to yet another devastating loss.

With the crucial goals from Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan, Wolves moved away from the Premier League’s relegation zone.

United are now mired in 14th position after suffering a second straight league loss. Amorim, who has faced several difficulties since departing Sporting Lisbon last month, has also suffered another defeat.

When questioned on Match of the Day about Amorim’s difficult start at Old Trafford, Shearer listed the problems the Portuguese coach is now facing.

“Results, issues off the field, Rashford,” Shearer said as echoed by The Mirror.

“He [Amorim] said it himself, they’re going to have to suffer for a while. And they are, because clearly a lot of the players at that football club are not good enough.

“He has to be able to get rid of players and be allowed to bring players in who he feels can suit his system. But they are miles off it.”

Unfortunately for Amorim, it’s understood that he will not have enough funds to spend in the January window. Outgoings could even be needed to bring in any new signs after United spent over £180 million in the summer window.
