Amorim Mention Man United Star With ‘Potential To Be So Much Better’

Manchester United Boss, Ruben Amorim has lauded Alejandro Garnacho for his impressive display in the Red Devils’ 2-1 win against Rangers at Old Trafford in the UEFA Europa League.

The Argentine attacker was one of five changes to the United starting eleven for the match after their weekend defeat to Brighton.

Garnacho is a transfer target for both Chelsea and Napoli this month and has been heavily linked with an exit in the January transfer window.

United are not really looking to sell the academy graduate but they could be inclined to authorize a sale if a suitable offer arrives before the end of the window, given any fee received would count as pure profit.

In an outstanding individual performance on Thursday night, the 20-year-old was serenaded by the Stretford End, as the Red Devils used their new tactical approach to remind everyone of the brilliance he still possesses.

Amorim declined to speculate about the young player’s future, even if a lot could change in the final days of the transfer market.

What Did Amorim Say About Garnacho?

According to the Manchester World, when asked if this might have been his final home game for the team, the head coach responded: “No, I’m focused on the games and he’s here, he’s a player for Manchester United. Was really important for us today and let’s see in the next days.”

“I think he’s improving in every aspect of the game, he was better today playing inside, also outside, changing positions, he’s improving the recovering position.

“I think he has (the) potential to be so much better in every situation in the game. What I can say is he understood what I was trying to do, was really clear, I just want to help them but in the end it’s them that do the job.”
