Amorim Receives Major Boost With Three Man United Stars Return

Three Manchester United players are reportedly set to return to full training this week ahead of the club’s UEFA Europa League semi-final clash against Athletic Club.

Ruben Amorim’s team are still in contention for the Europa League but currently sit in 14th place in the Premier League, where they haven’t won in five games.

Rasmus Hojlund’s equalizer in the 96th minute gave them a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth on Sunday, but they are aware that their league performance isn’t their first focus at the moment.

By winning the Europa League trophy on May 21, Amorim would guarantee a successful conclusion to his first season and, perhaps more significantly, a spot in the Champions League the following season.

In their semi-final matchup with Athletic Club, United will travel to northern Spain on Thursday for the first leg. The second game will take place at Old Trafford on May 8.

Amorim has previously stated that he is going to rotate his team in the Premier League, and according to the Manchester Evening News, a lot of changes will be made for Sunday’s match against Brentford.

According to The Mirror, Amad Diallo, Matthijs de Ligt, and Toby Collyer, who are anticipated to resume training this week, may also be included in the squad.

Due to an ankle injury, Amad hasn’t played since the team’s 2-0 victory over Leicester on February 7. However, he resumed individual training last week.

De Ligt is very close to making a comeback after missing the previous seven games due to a foot injury.

Earlier this month, Amorim said Collyer had a “small issue” with his leg and was only ruled out for a few weeks.
