Ancelotti Expects Real Madrid Star For Athletic Club Clash Amid ‘Suffering A Blockage’

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti expects Jude Bellingham to return to the team after experiencing a neck issue which led to his substitution in Los Blancos’ 2-0 win against Getafe on Sunday.

The issue, which was characterized as a neck blockage, happened following a collision with goalkeeper David Soria.

According to Madrid Universal, despite this blow, Ancelotti has stated that Bellingham’s injury is not significant and should have no bearing with his availability for Wednesday’s match against Athletic Club at San Mames.

“Bellingham had a neck problem, he had it blocked and couldn’t continue. It’s a minor problem and I think he’ll recover in two days,” said the manager after the match as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

Bellingham, who has been playing for Real Madrid in good form, converted a penalty kick to open the scoring in the match against Getafe. He continued to have an impact on the field by helping his team add another goal in the first half with an assist.

But after the neck issue, the England international started feeling lightheaded. So the team had to replace him during halftime. Arda Guler took his place, stepping in to keep Madrid moving forward.

Ancelotti prioritized the player’s long-term wellness over running the danger of more issues, thus his early departure was definitely a precaution.

The team remain hopeful that Bellingham will recover, despite initial concerns about his condition. Ancelotti claims that the player’s neck problem is nothing major and that he will fully recover in a few days.
