New Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that former head coach Pep Guardiola left him a personal good luck message in the manager’s office.
Guardiola has started work with Manchester City but it seems the Spaniard’s handiwork, or hand-writing at least, is still making waves back at Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti has been appointed the new boss at the Bundesliga side after Guardiola departed Munich at the end of the season, spending three years with the side and winning three German top flight titles.
Despite now being based in England Guardiola has apparently left a little message back at Bayern for his replacement, scrawling a message to the Italian coach in the manager’s office.
And the classy former Barcelona boss has left a note of good luck to Ancelotti, with the 57-year-old agreeing a three-year contract with his new side.

The message reads: “With high esteem, may you have good luck Carlo!”
When asked about Guardiola’s message Ancelotti told Bild: “Good Luck! He wrote it in Italian and capital letters on the wall. That was very pleasant, we have a good relationship.”
Somewhat ironically the two manager’s first official match in charge of their respective clubs is against each other. Bayern and City will clash on the 20th July in Munich.
It will give both coaches the chance to see what their new sides are capable of as they prepare for the new seasons.
Guardiola has already secured a number of new signings at City with Ilkay Gundogan moving to the side from Borussia Dortmund, Nolito coming in and also a deal for youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko.
