Man United ‘cannot afford’ to let go of the underperforming goalkeeper this summer for less than £26 million after Andre Onana was left’shocked’ by his pay decrease this season.

United’s inability to qualify for the Champions League this season resulted in a pay cut for the 29-year-old, who is having a terrible season that hit a new low last week.
The Athletic claims that Onana was upset by his pay cut and even discussed it with now-departed sporting director Dan Ashworth.
With two mistakes that resulted in goals in last week’s 2-2 draw away at Lyon in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal, Onana’s form has fallen off a cliff this season and reached a new low.
He was told to “disconnect” by manager Ruben Amorim after being completely removed from the United matchday squad following their crushing 4-1 loss to Newcastle on Sunday.
In the summer of 2023, Onana cost Man United £43.8 million from Inter Milan, which was a significant investment for the Cameroonian.
However, Onana is probably going to remain with the team despite his appalling performances since they can’t afford to let him go for less than a specific sum, reports Mail Online.
