When Fati made his debut in the Barcelona senior squad during the 2019–20 season at the age of 16, he was hailed as possibly the next great football hero.
However, a knee injury in November 2021 set off a protracted fitness fight that has threatened to end his career.
Last season, Fati’s trajectory was not revived by a loan to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Since then, he has been neglected by new Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, who has given the winger just 187 minutes in eight appearances across all competitions, reports 90 min.
A “disappointed” Fati, who has already received offers from a few teams, is prepared to leave the club in the summer because he feels that his career is stagnating.
Given that Fati is one of the team’s best earners, Barcelona is eager to let him go. He reportedly earns around £200,000 a week, which places him behind only Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong on the wage sheets, and signed a six-year contract in October 2021 when he was a vital starter.
