Antonio Conte Reportedly Puts Hazard Up for Sale

Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has decided to put underperformingforward Eden Hazard up for sale ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge, reported the Sun.

Hazard, who was named the PFA Player of the Year last season, has failed toregister a Premier League goal this season and he was seen as one of the keycontributors to Jose Mourinho’s sacking in December. Hazard’s lack ofcommitment has been criticised by fans and pundits alike, and Conte is believed to have gotten wind of that and made his decision as a result.

Conte is looking to manage players who have loyalty to the cause, and he’s not convinced that Hazard possesses such a quality. As a result, it’s reported that two top footballing agents have told Europe’s elite clubs the Belgian international is on the market as per Chelsea’s request.

The two agents have dealt with incoming and outgoing transfers concerning Chelsea in the past, and both Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain are considered among the interested parties.

Hazard would be open to a move to either club, and after initially placing a price tag of around £80m on the player, it’s now believed that Chelsea will be willing to accept any offers in excess of £50m after Hazard’s poor form this season.

Regarding possible replacements, the agent of Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic has told Goal that he would be open to a move to the Premier League and would jump at the chance to work with Conte at Chelsea.

Tonci Martic said: “To be linked to a club like Chelsea and a manager like Antonio Conte is very exciting for Perisic.

“The Premier League is the best league in the world and Chelsea is a massive club so we would happily talk about it but a deal is far at this moment.”
