Real Betis sporting director, Manu Fajardo has stated that the club want to retain the services of Antony following the Manchester United flop’s incredible debut on loan with the La Liga team.
The Brazilian has been a welcome change at Betis after losing his confidence at Old Trafford.
After making 13 appearances under former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, Antony has found his best form again as he has scored four goals and provided two assists.
The 25-year-old previously made fun of United after acknowledging that, after being shut out by Erik ten Hag and his successor Ruben Amorim, he was smiling once more in Spain.

After his success with Betis, there have been doubts about his future. The player is unlikely to have a future under Amorim after not starting a league game for United this season.
In a statement regarding his future, Betis director, Fajardo stated that the club are eager to sign Antony on a long-term basis and will do “everything possible” to achieve that goal.
“It’s a source of satisfaction on a personal level, but it’s the result of teamwork,” Fajardo told Mundo Deportivo as echoed by The Mirror when asked about Antony’s superb form at Betis so far.
“Although I’m responsible for the sporting direction, there are many people involved in this signing. It’s still early days, but we’ll try in different ways to do everything possible to continue enjoying Antony.”
