Arne Slot Has Liverpool’s Secret Weapon Following An Unexpected Emergence And Injury Setback

Liverpool pre-season tour for the United States begins this week, as Arne Slot’s squad travels there. And the new Reds manager has named a 28-man group to compete in the three games in America.

Real Betis will face Liverpool in Pittsburgh in the early hours of Saturday morning, followed by Arsenal and fierce rivals Manchester United in Philadelphia and South Carolina, as Slot’s men face stiff challenges. Reported By sky Sports.

Liverpool will also be absent several senior players for the tour, with Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota joining up later and numerous more first-team players currently on leave following the Copa America and Euro 2024. Instead, Slot will have to rely on a number of young players, and like his predecessor Jurgen Klopp, the Dutchman may find that the quality of players available to him is higher than he expected.

If Liverpool has one big complaint about their upcoming tour of the United States, it is that so many senior players will be absent for the duration of the trip. After all, incoming manager Arne Slot will understand what to expect from such experienced campaigners.

Instead, Bobby Clark’s chronic fitness difficulties have stopped the teenager from having the same effect he did in the Far East last year.

Worryingly, injuries have become a recurring theme in the 19-year-old’s young Liverpool career, with him unable to build on his strong performances in Singapore due to a fitness issue and, after becoming a first-team squad regular in the second half of the season when he returned, missing the final weeks due to a back injury from which he is still recovering.
