Liverpool manager Arne Slot is due to take his spot on the touchline at Villa Park as the Reds prepare for their Premier League match against Aston Villa this evening. Villa will host Liverpool a month ahead of planned due to the visitors’ EFL Cup final commitments.
Slot, who has led the club to the top of the Premier League table, ahead of Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, lost his cool after last week’s dramatic draw with Everton at Goodison Park. Referee Michael Oliver dismissed him after full time for challenging the decision to allow James Tarkowski’s injury-time equaliser.

The Premier League claimed that Dutchman Slot would then face a two-match touch-line ban for ‘using rude, insulting, or abusive language’, but the league’s website quickly deleted that statement, and it was later clarified by The FA what the lay of the land actually was. Reported By Birminghamlive.
The FA’s statement said: “It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area occupants did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way following the final whistle.”
“The Liverpool manager allegedly acted in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards both the match referee and an assistant referee after the match had finished.
