Arne Slot will speak for the first time today after Liverpool’s dramatic Merseyside derby against Everton.
Slot is scheduled to speak to the media ahead of his team’s Premier League home game against Wolves on Sunday.
However, when the Dutchman appears in front of the media, it will be for the first time since Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw with Everton, when the penultimate Merseyside derby turned into turmoil after the final whistle.
A Liverpool statement reads: “Watch Arne Slot’s pre-Wolverhampton Wanderers press conference live with us from 9 a.m. GMT on Friday.”

The Liverpool manager will speak to the media before of Sunday’s Premier League game against Wolves at Anfield.

As Slot and assistant Sipke Hulshoff were both sent off after the full-time whistle against Everton, Liverpool did not host a post-match press conference according to a little-known Premier League rule.
According to ESPN, a stricter approach was imposed at the start of the 2023/24 top-flight season, stating that managers who receive red cards are barred from participating in any post-match news conferences or broadcast interviews, with Slot also not speaking to TNT Sports or the BBC as he normally would.
Liverpool would have most likely replaced Slot with Hulshoff, but his own red card prevented him from doing so.
Slot is facing a wait to learn how long a potential touchline ban will be as a statement on the Premier League website on Thursday morning that suggested he had been handed a two-match touchline ban for his language towards Oliver has since been deleted.
