This season, the 24-year-old has made 38 appearances for Feyenoord, returning 11 goals and 15 assists, bringing his total to 32 goals and 25 assists from 120 games.
In the past, he has been vaguely connected to a move to Liverpool, where he would rejoin Slot at Anfield.
Additionally, Jacobs, a former Feyenoord player who managed the team during the 1988–89 season, is adamant that Paixao would strengthen the Reds.
He even went so far as to say that Gakpo, who has a career-high 16 goals for Liverpool this season, is not as good as the Brazilian left-winger, reports Liverpool Echo.
“Then I’ll go for Paixao. I really think he makes Liverpool stronger,” he told 1908.nl. “Arne Slot should also enjoy his development.
“Gakpo is of course also a fantastic player and is doing well at Liverpool, but I think Paixao is better.
“It wouldn’t surprise me if Liverpool would report to Feyenoord. Hey, €40 million or €50 million? They don’t make a fuss about that in England, Jacobs said.
