Arsenal Announces A Major Deal With Liverpool amid A £169 Million Financial Boost

With the promotion of a vital employee to a new position, Arsenal has proceeded with its goals to increase revenue and get closer to their competitors. Reported By football London.

Omar Shaikh, who joined the Gunners from Premier League rivals Liverpool last year, has been moved from his position as director of partnership development to director of global partnerships and initiatives. In this new position, he will be directly responsible to Juliet Slot, chief commercial officer.

Arsenal, having qualified for the Champions League for another season after finishing second in the Premier League the year before, witnessed a 19% increase in their commercial earnings for 2022–2023 from £141.7 million to £169.3 million.

When the club’s current fiscal year ends at the end of this month, it is anticipated that commercial revenue will increase even more. Over the previous 12 months, the club has signed eight new commercial partners and secured its first-ever naming rights agreement for its training facility with Sobha Realty, a luxury real estate developer based in Dubai.

“We pushed ourselves to the limit last season, setting records for both of our teams, bringing in new business partners, and strengthening our commercial team. We’re all still committed to advancing this development,” Slot stated.

“This requires Omar and our commercial team. In his new capacity, he will take the lead in strengthening our bonds with each and every one of our partners, opening up fresh avenues for earning income that we can put back into our teams, and quickening our global expansion to better engage with our global supporters.
