Arsenal are appearing to be in the best position to sign Barcelona lover, Vitor Roque, this according to Gabriel Sans of Mundo Deportivo, which means the Blaugrana may be staring at the risk of missing out on the Brazilian prodigy.

Roque has emerged as one of the club’s top targets for the summer transfer window this year, as they seek a new striker to provide cover Robert Lewandowski.
With his performances for Athletico Paranaense, the teenage prodigy has been making waves in his native Brazil, and he appears prepared for his next professional step.
He has also expressed a desire to join Barcelona beginning with the upcoming season.
However, the Catalans’ issues with Financial Fair Play may prevent them from securing one of the most spectacular young talents coming through in South America.
Earlier this week, Roque’s father, Juvenal Ferreira, and his agents were spotted in London amid interest in the striker’s services from Arsenal and Chelsea.
Both the Premier League giants are said to have made contact with the 18-year-old’s camp over a transfer.
And, now, sources close to the negotiations have informed that Arsenal are best positioned to sign Roque in the summer ahead of Barcelona and Chelsea, both of whom are dealing with Financial Fair Play issues.

According to the report, even if Roque still favors moving to Barcelona, his father and representatives believe that the youngster would benefit more from moving to the Premier League.
Andre Cury, one of his agents who is well connected to Barcelona, is aware that the Catalans cannot afford the financial commitment required to sign Roque for now.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s director Edu Gaspar is leading the charge from the front as they step up their efforts to capture the talented Brazilian.
