Arsenal are the bookies’ favourites to sign Anthony Martial after his Manchester United shirt row.
Martial has lost possession of the United No 9 shirt for this season, with the club handing it to new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Ibrahimovic said he “chose the number 9”, while Martial responded to being given No 11 by unfollowing United on Twitter.
The France striker also changed his Facebook profile picture to launch his new brand ‘AM9’, while he put a snap wearing his old United 9 shirt as his cover photo.
And now bookies Ladbrokes have slashed the odds on Martial moving to Arsenal from 9/1 to 11/2.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain are next at 9s to take the Paris-born hitman back home, while Chelsea are a 16/1 shout.
Tottenham are a 20/1 bet, Liverpool at 25s and United’s crosstown rivals Manchester City a lengthy 33/1.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Martial’s shirty response to being ousted as #9 could be the first step on the path to an Old Trafford exit, and Arsene Wenger could be the man to welcome him with open arms.”
