Last season, the 18-year-old Norwegian wonder, who has been compared to Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, was a shining star for Rosenborg.

Nypan contributed 18 goals in 33 games, helping Rosenborg finish fourth in the Eliteserien.

Arsenal is ‘hopeful’ of securing a deal for the midfield wizard.

Nypan, who was seen in Erling Haaland’s VIP box during City’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday, is also being pursued by Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Nypan is also being pursued by Girona, reports Daily Star.

According to reports, Rosenborg is being tough and is asking for a cool £10 million up front for Nypan in addition to some expensive add-ons.

As Jorginho’s and Thomas Partey’s contracts expire and they may become free agents at the end of the current campaign, the Gunners are searching for new midfield talent.

This month, Arsenal is looking to strengthen its offense after Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka were benched due to injury.

Benjamin Sesko, a sensation at RB Leipzig, has been coveted by the Gunners, leading to speculation that he would go to the Emirates.
