Arsenal are interested in signing striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, who defeated them in the Premier League last Saturday.
The Gunners have identified the teenage goalscorer as their top transfer target, looking to enhance their attacking options with a proven striker to compete with Manchester City’s you-know-who… as early as next June.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal sees the 25-year-old Swedish attacker as a perfect match for Mikel Arteta’s team, especially as they seek to improve competition for current options Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
With the Gunners involved in a tight Premier League title race rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, Arsenal’s hierarchy believes more firepower in the striker role might be crucial.

According to Team Talk, Isak may be open to a move since he is concerned with Newcastle’s lack of progress and wants to play regular European games.
Despite his excellent effect since joining Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022, including 21 Premier League goals last season, Isak is said to be eager in joining a club with a consistent Champions League presence and trophy hopes.
Arsenal, which is actively pursuing a title and has consistent Champions League qualification, matches that criteria.
Isak, who is now under contract until 2028, is one of Newcastle’s highest earners, and the club wants to secure his long-term future. However, TEAMtalk reports that there are “major doubts” that the striker’s camp will agree to a contract extension anytime soon.
This hesitation has placed him firmly in Arsenal’s view, making him their “dream target,” according to sources close to the club.
