Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Newcastle United winger, Anthony Gordon ahead of the transfer window deadline.
Gordon signed a long-term contract to join Newcastle United from Everton for £45 million. And since then, he has been very impressive.
Liverpool have been linked with the English winger during the transfer window. But it doesn’t seem likely that the Merseyside club will make a deadline-day move given that they confirmed Federico Chiesa’s arrival on Thursday.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in Anthony Gordon, but a deal won’t be able to be completed before the transfer market closes at 11 p.m. on Friday.
Gordon’s main admirer, Gunners sporting director Edu, is thought to be considering making a move for the 23-year-old next summer.
Nonetheless, Gordon is rumored to be really content at Newcastle and has started initial negotiations for a new deal that would reward him for his outstanding play from the previous campaign.
The gifted winger made 48 appearances for Newcastle United last season, tallying 11 assists and 12 goals.

Gordon’s breakthrough season with the Tyneside club earned him a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2024 European Championships, which was his first major international competition.
Because of his talent, Liverpool reportedly got close to reaching an agreement with Newcastle that would have seen Joe Gomez move in the other direction. But the deal ultimately fell through.
