Piers Morgan urged Arsene Wenger to stand down as Liverpool manager after a 2-0 loss at Anfield on Saturday evening.
The Gunners boss opted to leave Alexis Sanchez on the bench for the trip to Merseyside with Mesut Ozil missing due to illness.
However, it was Liverpool’s forward players who stole the show in a dominant first-half performance from the hosts as Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane terrorised the Arsenal defence.
And Firmino broke the deadlock in the ninth minute with a close-range finish before Mane rifled a finish past Petr Cech five minutes before half-time following another sweeping Liverpool move.
Morgan’s mood would go on to deteriorate further after goals from Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum wrapped up a comfortable win for the hosts.
Liverpool hoisted themselves above Arsenal and into the Premier League’s top four thanks to their comfortable win against the Gunners.
