According to Football Insider, Arsenal’s interest in Matheus Cunha, a wanted Wolves player, has not diminished ahead of the summer transfer window.
Although he only signed a new deal at Molineux in February, the 25-year-old has already given interested parties the go-ahead to move on in the off-season.
Cunha is being considered by Liverpool as a possible Darwin Nunez replacement.
Arsenal may compete with the Premier League champions-elect to capture the Brazil international.
When former sports director Edu Gaspar was employed by the Gunners, the team had already begun the process of negotiating a deal for Cunha.
The forward is also connected to Andrea Berta, the new transfer boss, who signed him in 2021 for Atletico Madrid.

Cunha’s new contract with Wolves has a release clause that will make him available for £62.5 million.
In the 2024–25 season, the 13-cap Brazil player has scored 15 goals in 29 games across all competitions, and Vitor Pereira’s team is expected to avoid relegation to the Championship.
In recent days, Cunha has expressed his desire to compete for titles and major honors outside of Molineux to the media.
Following the most recent round of negotiations, Arsenal is getting closer to reaching a deal on a new contract for Ethan Nwaneri.
