During his press conference on Friday, the Spaniard asserted that the 29-year-old was content to stay in the West Midlands.

Watkins, a childhood Arsenal supporter, may yet be able to transfer to North London, though, given the European prospects’ recent activity.

According to The Athletic, Villa is thinking about adding the United outcast to their forward line.

Rashford is reportedly available for loan after finding his playing time at Old Trafford limited, and Jhon Duran is reportedly nearing a deal to Al-Nassr.

Emery personally asked the team to start negotiations with the 27-year-old, who is reportedly a huge admirer of the Villa manager.

Since Rashford hasn’t performed well since Sporting CP took over in the North West, Ruben Amorim has dismissed him and therefore, Emery thinks he can help Rashford get back to his previous level of play.

Although the United attacker might just be viewed as a substitute for Duran, who is headed to Al Nassr, reports Football London.

A deal for Rashford might allow Arsenal to make their own bid for Watkins.
