Arsenal are reportedly not planning to bring in a new striker during the January transfer window.
Gabriel Jesus made his World Cup debut on Friday evening, hoping to make an impression before the knockout rounds despite entering the tournament behind Richarlison in the pecking order.
However, the Gunners player sustained a knee injury during the match against Cameroon, causing him to be ruled out of the rest of the tournament.
As things stand, the severity of Jesus’ issue is unknown, with reports saying that he could be sidelined for one to three months.
Football Insider claims that Mikel Arteta is currently not tempted to add a new player to the midst of his attack.
This is despite the Spaniard reportedly being offered up to £50m in the transfer market in order to retain Arsenal atop the Premier League standings.
Jesus has contributed five goals and five assists in 14 league starts since joining from Manchester City.
However, Arsenal are thought to be looking to bolster other areas of the field, especially central midfield, where they have struggled to manage the game time of key players.

According to the report, Arteta would also like to acquire another winger to bolster his present options, with Arsenal having been lucky enough to have Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka play in every Premier League match up to the World Cup break.
Eddie Nketiah is anticipated to be given an extended stint down the middle if Arteta decides to depend on his existing crop to replace Jesus.
Arteta will also be able to rely on Emile Smith Rowe at some point, despite the academy graduate missing the entirety of the first period due to groin surgery.
