Arsenal are reportedly pushing more than Chelsea for the signature of Crystal Palace winger, Eberechi Eze in the summer transfer window.
The England international is clearly an outstanding talent and is presently playing for Gareth Southgate’s team at Euro 2024. But it appears Chelsea aren’t quite sure he’s what they’re seeking for.
According to Caught Offside, the Gunners appear to be putting more of an effort in landing Eze right now. The north London giants may even sell players like Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson to make room for the Eagles star.
Eze, who can play as a winger and as a number ten, seems like the perfect addition to give Arsenal some extra spark for the upcoming campaign. They may need someone to relieve Martin Odegaard of some of the pressure to be the primary creator in that advanced playmaker role. They also need an alternative to Gabriel Martinelli on the left side of their front three.
Eze is well-liked by many Chelsea supporters, but it appears the Blues are more interested in an all-around winger right now than the versatile Palace player.

“Arsenal are ‘seriously interested’ in signing Eze, and they are looking to move out players like Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson on to make room and get Eze in,” the report said.
“However, sources also say that pretty much every top club in Europe is now looking at and considering Eze, including Chelsea and Liverpool.”
