Arsenal have reportedly begun investigation into the violent threats made to Kai Havertz’s wife following the Gunners defeat to Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup.
While the game was still tied at 1-1, Havertz was at the center of the action at the Emirates Stadium, drawing a foul from Harry Maguire to win a penalty, only for club captain Martin Odegaard to have his attempt saved by Altay Bayindir.
Despite Man United playing with just 10 men for most of the evening after Diogo Dalot’s second yellow card on the hour-mark, the north London team would then have to wait until after the 120th minute to end the game, with the third-round tie going to penalties.
Havertz’s last move proved to be the most significant; he missed the vital penalty kick in the shootout to eliminate Arsenal from the competition, just days after they had put themselves in a dangerous two-goal disadvantage against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Sophia Weber, Havertz’s wife, posted some disgusting remarks she received from so-called supporters following the loss, some of which targeted her pregnancy.
Sophia Havertz posted screenshots of the threatening messages—including one that threatened to kill her unborn child—that were sent to her social media account on her Instagram story.
“I’m going to come to your house and slaughter your baby I’m not joking just wait”, one message reads, sent by Instagram user ‘campo.jrl’.
As per The Evening Standard, Arsenal are now working with a third-party investigator that specializes in finding online offenders.
If they are identified, the club will pursue the strictest action possible against the guilty. The accounts have also been reported to Instagram.
