Arsenal Lead Liverpool In The Race To Sign Forward With 13 Goals This Season

Arsenal have reportedly moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Omar Marmoush.

So far this season in the Bundesliga, the Egyptian has 13 goals and 7 assists.

His side are currently third in the Bundesliga, only behind Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, thanks to the 25-year-old attacker’s outstanding play.

According to Caught Offside, given that Liverpool are presently more concerned with resolving the contract problem of their star attacker Mohamed Salah, Mikel Arteta’s side have the opportunity to overtake them in the battle to sign Marmoush.

Frankfurt have no intention of allowing Marmoush leave in the middle of the season, but the German team are reportedly willing to accept £50 million for their star attacker.

The Bundesliga star’s transfer would have to wait until the summer.

Marmoush has long been linked to a move to Liverpool, possibly as Salah’s replacement. However, the 32-year-old is not showing any indications of leaving anytime soon, and the Reds want to make sure they keep him at the club.

With 17 Premier League goals and 13 assists so far this season, Salah is having the finest season of his career.

The Liverpool striker, who is demanding a new contract at Anfield, has contributed to 30 goals in just 18 Premier League games, and his outstanding play has made the Reds the clear favorites to win the league this season.

Marmoush has two and a half years left on his current deal, but joining one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs would give him the opportunity to compete for trophies and earn a lot more money.
