Arsenal Make Contact For Signing In ‘Recent Days’; Player And Club Desire July Move

On Tuesday, we discussed reports from Spain that Arsenal is’very interested’ in Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons. It was also said that the Premier League club has the funds to sign him during the summer transfer window.

The winger is now on loan at RB Leipzig and has succeeded there, scoring nine goals and assisting 15 times. Arsenal, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich have all taken notice of his impressive showing this season.

Wednesday’s edition of Sport contains the most recent information on the 21-year-old’s future, which should please Arsenal.

The Netherlands international has no intention of returning to the Ligue 1 side and they don’t have plans to include him in their plans next season. The two parties are looking to part ways, but through different formulas.

Simons wants to join Barcelona on loan, but Paris wants to generate finances and sell him for roughly €60 million plus bonuses.
PSG’s plan is to seal the transaction before the Euros, as long as the player agrees, and these terms make it difficult for Barcelona to sign him.

In fact, when the La Liga side attempted to arrange a deal, the French club turned down the offer. This would provide encouragement to the Gunners and Bayern.

According to reports, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have inquired about the midfielder in’recent days’ but have made no formal offers.

With Mikel Arteta’s side ‘very interested’ in the player, they would have to step up since Leipzig are in advanced negotiations with PSG. Sport don’t make it clear if they are looking for another loan deal or to buy Simons.
