Arsenal have’made connections’ to recruit Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman this summer, according to German transfer specialist Florian Plettenberg.
The summer transfer season seems set to be a big one for the Gunners, especially with newly recruited sporting director Andrea Berta in charge. The club is already seeking to strengthen important positions in the squad, particularly in attack, with Coman being mentioned as a potential candidate.
According to Plettenberg, Arsenal has’made contact’ with Coman’s agents and is currently in talks about a potential deal for the Bayern star.
Transfermarkt values the 28-year-old at €35 million (£30 million), and competition for his services is anticipated to heat up this summer. According to the report, the Gunners have expressed interest in the forward, who is also being pursued by Saudi clubs.

The German transfer expert adds that the winger is expected to leave the Allianz Arena permanently this summer, and both the player and the club are in agreement about his departure.
Reinforcement
Arsenal’s attacking output, which was on fire at the beginning of the season, has subsequently dipped.
Their profligacy in attack could be attributed to the injury of their talisman, Bukayo Saka. While Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have stepped up on multiple occasions, their inconsistencies have been a major source of concern, notably during their now-failed Premier League title bid.
Arsenal has performed better and more clinically in the Champions League, but they have only scored more than once in one of their previous seven Premier League games, a 2-1 victory over Fulham. In the other six, they’ve either drawn blanks, as evidenced in the goalless stalemate with Nottingham Forest and the close 1-0 defeat to West Ham, or scored only one goal—like in the 1-0 wins against Chelsea and the 1-1 draws with Manchester United, Everton, and Brentford.
