The January transfer window is rarely the best time for big acquisitions, but in a perfect world, Mikel Arteta would bring one of his long-term striker goals on board this month.
Arsenal’s senior management and Arteta agree that the team certainly has space for another forward this month, but they don’t want to add someone who isn’t already well-liked.
However, former Everton player Kean has been presented to the team along with two other fresh names, according to TBR Football main writer Graeme Bailey.
Kean, who formally departed Goodison Park in 2023, has made 26 appearances for Fiorentina in all competitions this season, scoring 16 goals.
The 24-year-old joined the Premier League at a relatively young age and only managed to score four goals for Everton, failing to establish himself as a true player.
Along with Kean, the Gunners have also received an offer from Serie A for Mario Retegui, a striker for Atalanta, reports TBR Football.
Retegui, 25, has set yet another incredible record this season by scoring 19 goals in 29 games for Atalanta.
And north London supporters may recall the Champions League save David Raya deserved a lot of credit for earlier this season when Retegui missed a penalty against Arsenal.
