Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya for a fee between £25 million – £30 million.
According to Football Transfers, the shot-stopper, has already agreed on personal terms with the Gunners. And is set to sign as the club’s new goalkeeper. This is after Nottingham Forest had agreed a £7 million deal with Arsenal for second-choice keeper, Matt Turner.
Mikel Arteta is now responsible for finding a new backup goalkeeper with the American scheduled to undergo a medical examination later today before finalizing his move to the City Ground.
Unexpectedly, Raya has become Arteta’s top choice to replace Turner. With journalist Ben Jacobs recently informing GiveMeSport that the Spaniard would be interested in moving to the Emirates Stadium.
“Arsenal have the same perspective as Bayern and Spurs, that the £40m asking price that has been put out there publicly by Thomas Frank is too high.
“So, the situation at the moment is that they have player buy-in. They know that personal terms are not a problem.
At this point, it seems the Gunners have managed to reach a deal for significantly less than Brentford’s initial demand.

All conditions of the agreement have now been reached. And the signing is scheduled to be completed and publicised as soon as Turner’s transfer to Nottingham Forest is official. Personal terms of the agreement are not a concern.
Because of his skill with the ball in his feet and his distribution, Arteta is rumored to be an avid admirer of the Brentford goalkeeper. And might give Aaron Ramsdale some serious challenge next season.
