Arsenal On Track And Energised For Run-In, Says Arteta

Ahead of his team’s encounter with Luton Town on Tuesday, manager Mikel Arteta stated that Arsenal is enthusiastic and full of energy about every game in their Premier League title hunt as they near the finish line.

Arsenal can reclaim the top spot in the Premier League if they defeat relegation-threatened Luton on Wednesday. Arsenal was knocked off the top spot by Liverpool over the weekend following a 0-0 draw with championship contenders Manchester City.Reported by Monitor Sports.

They have a packed schedule coming up, starting with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday and the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Bayern Munich three days later.

They will be participating in the knockout stage of Europe’s premier competition for the first time under Arteta, who expressed delight in Arsenal’s women’s team’s achievement in winning the League Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday and in their own quest of hardware.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Arteta said, “What the women’s team performed over the weekend makes us so happy and it’s so significant as well. “While many positive developments are taking place, we must strive for even more… This is our desired location. It is very different and I wasn’t in this position when I was a player (for Arsenal).” The manager confirmed that forward Bukayo Saka was “fine” after he was forced off the pitch against Manchester City on Sunday and defender Jurrien Timber, a long-term injury absentee, has a “good chance”.
