Arsenal Receive Fresh Injury Blow After Star Limped On To Team Bus

Arsenal have reportedly seem to have suffered an injury blow after David Raya limped as he boarded the team bus while his right knee was bandaged following an impressive display in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

The 10-man Gunners came extremely near to holding on for a victory as the Spanish goalkeeper produced a couple of incredible saves, but he was helpless to prevent John Stones’ late equalizer.

According to The Mirror, during a difficult game in which several players clashed throughout, Raya looked to be one of the walking wounded at the end. This might put more burden on a team already dealing with an early-season injury issue.

During the second half, Raya received a treatment, but he was allowed to continue. Regardless of Raya’s injury, summer acquisition Neto is anticipated to start Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup third-round match at home against Bolton.

A number of City players have criticized Arsenal’s tactical approach in the aftermath of both teams’ first-ever encounter this season.

Midfielder Bernardo Silva said: “There was only one team that came to play football. The other came to play to the limits of what was possible to do and allowed by the referee, unfortunately.”

Defender Stones, who rescued a point for the champions, added: “You can call it clever or dirty, whichever way you want to put it, but they break up the game which upsets the rhythm. They use it to their advantage and we dealt with it very well.
