The 10-man Gunners came extremely near to holding on for a victory as the Spanish goalkeeper produced a couple of incredible saves, but he was helpless to prevent John Stones’ late equalizer.
According to The Mirror, during a difficult game in which several players clashed throughout, Raya looked to be one of the walking wounded at the end. This might put more burden on a team already dealing with an early-season injury issue.
During the second half, Raya received a treatment, but he was allowed to continue. Regardless of Raya’s injury, summer acquisition Neto is anticipated to start Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup third-round match at home against Bolton.
